Hollandale police officer appears on Kelly Clarkson’s show in hopes of making love connection
A Hollandale police officer, Matthew Mann, recently returned from Los Angeles, California after appearing on Kelly Clarkson’s show, hoping the trip would lead to a love connection, WLBT reports.
Mann is a 22-year-old officer who has taken to TikTok and has amassed 1.2 million fans, which has lead to a mass influx of messages daily. Despite the numerous amounts of messages this young officer receives daily, one message caught his attention.
Mann recalls sitting back with his phone one day when he noticed a message from a “Kelly”.
“I had my phone in my hand ‘cause I was playing a game,” Mann told WLBT. “They popped up and said Kelly something, but it was executive producer of the Kelly Clarkson show.”
There was some doubt, but the message was opened anyway. The message was an invitation to come to the Kelly Clarkson Show. Within days Mann booked a flight to California and was greeted and soon star-struck.
“When I walked in, I saw MGK behind the scenes,” Mann told WLBT. “I freaked out a little bit – ok, a whole lot. But uh, yeah, it was awesome,” Mann smiled. “Kelly was super sweet, and Nikki Glaser was awesome.”
Mann and another officer from Tennessee each took the stage to read their impressive resumes to try to ‘impress the girl’. After several minutes of questions and ballads, a decision was made between the two officers.
Though Cupid’s arrow didn’t find its way to Mann this time, the officer promised he would not give up on trying to find it.
He returned to the other loves in his life, policing and being a positive influence on social media.
