One car accident on Fisher Ferry Road

A vehicle went off the road and into the woods Saturday afternoon in a single car accident in Vicksburg.

The incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. on Fisher Ferry Road across from the Ridgeway Townhouses.

The driver, a 17-year-old female, received minor injuries and was transported to Merit Health River Region to be checked over.

The young woman is the daughter of a Vicksburg Police officer.

It is unclear what caused the accident.
