One car crash snarling traffic on MLK Boulevard

Vicksburg police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard just after 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle struck a utility pole, and Entergy is on the way to the scene to survey any damages.

The driver of the vehicle was checked at the scene by Vicksburg Fire Medic 40 and refused transport for medical care.

Sgt. Bobby Jones is investigating the accident on behalf of the police department.

Traffic is slow in the area. If the utility pole needs to be replaced it could be stopped. Find an alternative route if possible.
