14-year-old charged with second degree murder in shooting death

Vicksburg police have charged 14-year-old Thomas Hardman with second degree murder in reference to Tuesday night’s shooting.

Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, police officers responded to Elizabeth Circle where they discovered an 11-year-old boy, Rashawn Wilbert, with a gunshot wound to the chest.  Wilbert was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hardman appeared before Judge Allen Derivaux on Wednesday where he was given a $150,000 bond and bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.
