One in custody after police make quick work of break in at Divine Donuts

A Leland man is in police custody after breaking the door glass and entering Divine Donuts on Clay Street in Vicksburg this evening.

Just before 8 p.m., Vicksburg police were alerted by a neighbor that a man was behaving suspiciously. They observed the man, a black male wearing a red hoodie, on their security camera and reported he was walking back and forth in front of the business.

A unit was near the scene and arrived quickly. A man fitting that description was observed walking around in Divine Donuts and the patrol unit immediately called for more units. Radio traffic reported one in custody soon thereafter.

The front door of the business was smashed by the intruder who is now in police custody.
