One in custody after stealing county work truck

[Update: An earlier version of this story listed the incident at Oak Ridge Road. The suspect was actually seen on Gowall Road, off Oak Ridge Road.]
One person is in custody after stealing a Warren County work truck and fleeing from authorities.
Earlier on Tuesday, a suspicious person was observed looking in mailboxes along Gowall Road. The suspect was described as a white male with black hair and mustache. He was observed wearing boots, jeans and a shirt with stripes on the sleeve.
The suspicious individual then spotted a crew working in the area and got into their truck, a green Ford F-150 with the marking “32 A”, and fled at a high rate of speed on Highway 61.
The suspect then turned south onto Washington Street. A citizen called the city and alerted the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Numerous law enforcement officers with the city and county were deployed to the area. The vehicle was then reported to have turned into Waltersville Estates, however the vehicle was not found in that location or behind it.
Moments later a call came in of a collision on the Interstate 20 bridge traveling westbound with a truck fitting the description. The truck fled the scene.
Within minutes, another call came in informing that Madison Parish was in pursuit of a vehicle matching the description. Units with Madison Parish were able to take the driver into custody without incident.
The truck was towed away from the scene.
