One person shot on Greenbriar last night

One person was shot on Greenbriar Drive late Monday night.

Just after 10:00p.m., Vicksburg Warren 911 received a call that a man had been shot and was being taken via a private vehicle to the hospital. 911 operators had the driver meet paramedics at the Circle K on Clay Street and Highway 27.

The victim, an as-yet-unnamed man, had been shot in the upper chest while in the 300 block of Greenbriar. Sheriff Martin Pace describes the situation:

“We have developed a suspect, no one has been detained at this time,” said the Sheriff. The victim “…was talking to investigators and he spoke with me,” Sheriff Pace responded when asked about the condition of the gunshot victim.

The Sheriff also stated the shooter knew the gunshot victim.

The victim was transported via AirCare to a Jackson hospital and there is no word on his condition this morning.
