One stabbed on Hutson Street

Just after 6 p.m., a call came to 911 of a stabbing on Hutson Street in Kings.

According to radio traffic, the caller stated they were in an active disturbance with their roommate and their roommate was stabbing them. He reported the assailant still had the knife.

Units with the VPD were dispatched to the scene and quickly detained an older white male. That same male was later taken to the VPD.

The victim was placed in the ambulance and treated for at least three stab wounds, one to the chest, one to the leg and one to the hand. The victim was alert and engaged with paramedics as they treated his wounds.

Air Care was called and met the patient at River Region, Merit Health and transported them to a Jackson area facility.
