Online contest underway to support Vicksburg Animal Shelter

Vicksburg Animal Shelter strives to give its furry residents the best food, health care and enrichment possible. 

But as responsible pet owners know, quality care does not come cheaply. They have a few dedicated animal lovers who come in just to hold and play with the pups and the cats and kittens, and they try to walk the adult dogs as much as possible. No animal leaves without vaccinations and spay or neuter unless the animal is too young. This is even followed up with when it’s time.

The shelter receives donations, volunteers and grants. Occasionally an opportunity comes along like the one provided by The Endless Love Shelter Challenge sponsored by GreaterGood ®. It’s an online contest that allows people to vote for their favorite animal shelter. Voting is free and people are allowed one per day. Voting ends on March 15, and the winning shelter will receive $5k in cash and needed supplies. Additionally, every time someone votes for any shelter, the organization donates kibble to shelters around the country.
