Over 670 Warren County students and 109 teachers with COVID-19 so far in 2022

The latest numbers reported to the Mississippi Department of Health show 671-679 Warren County students and 109-137 teachers have COVID-19 as of Jan. 21.

The infections include 429 students in the Vicksburg Catholic Schools. There is not an exact number of infected because the first five infected are included in one grouping of 1-5. The Vicksburg Daily News reported all the listing of 1-5 as a single COVID-19 infection.

In the Vicksburg Warren School District, Warren Central High School has 47 infected students, the most of any single facility.

The week of Jan. 17 to Jan. 21 reported 41-85 new student cases reported and 7-35 new infections for teachers.
