Overturned 18-wheeler at the Flowers exit

An 18-wheeler overturned just before the Flowers exit on I-20 Eastbound at 2:45 a.m. The driver was out and walking around with no injuries.
The single vehicle accident happened in the early morning hours on Interstate 20, just before the Flowers exit. Just moments later the overturned 18-wheeler was struck by a Mustang with two people inside. The driver and passenger in the Mustang complained of minor injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
According to Highway Patrol this accident will take several hours, if not all day, to clean up. The last accident of this nature took 12 hours to clear.
If you are traveling east on Interstate 20 past Bovina you should anticipate slower traffic near the Flowers exit as crews work to unload the trailer and clear the accident scene.
