Owner of Bovina Grocery provides a statement regarding employee death

Allen Kitchens, owner of Bovina Grocery, has emailed the following statement in regards to an employee who recently died:

“We were so saddened to learn of the loss of a valuable friend and colleague, and our thoughts and
prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. We immediately contacted the health
department when we were informed and, out of an abundance of caution, conducted a thorough
cleaning and sanitization with a professional cleaning company. In addition to our stringent health and
hygiene standards, we are conducting wellness checks of employees and requiring them to wear masks
during shifts, as well as incorporating social distancing guidelines. During this challenging time, we are
especially grateful for our customers supporting us, and for our staff continuing to serve the community.”
