St. Aloysius boys basketball player Padre Gray Jr. was named the team’s Most Valuable Player on Sunday.

Gray received the award at the Flashes’ athletic banquet, where he was surrounded by friends and family as he was recognized for his achievements.

Gray, a sophomore who played under Mike Coleman this year, averaged 15.6 points per game and finished the season as the lead scorer for the team.

One of Gray’s best performances this season was when he scored 28 points against Park Place in January.

Gray is also a running back on the Flashes football team and through his athleticism and leadership has proved to be an asset to both programs.
