The fourth annual Reindeer Run was held on Dec. 3, 2022.
The Reindeer run is a fun, family-oriented event. Many bring their fur-baby and enjoy a 5K run or walk through Historic Downtown Vicksburg.
The event attracts hundreds of participants each year, with proceeds benefitting Paws Rescue. Debbie Peacock along with friends Michelle Caccaro and Cynthia Freeny started the Reindeer Run four years ago. To date, they have raised close to $100,000 for Paws Rescue.
The check was received by Leigh Connelly, President of Paws Rescue.
“It’s just amazing and it’s fun and they’re so fun to work with and it’s very much needed,” said Conerly.
Paw Rescue is a no-kill facility that fosters animals in the homes of people in the community.
Conerly explains, “We take in sick, abandoned, stray animals and rehabilitate them and rehome them.”
In closing, Peacock said, “The next Reindeer Run will be December 2, mark your calendar!”
