PCA boys and girls defeated Benton Academy on Thursday

Porter’s Chapel Academy boys and girl’s basketball to got victories over Benton Academy on Thursday.

Girl’s game:

The Lady Eagles won 72-55 to advance their record to 9-3 on the year.

Tiara Sims had 33 points on the night and Zy Smith scored 13 while Anjel Walton and Sophie Masterson added nine.

PCA quickly took a 30-18 lead by halftime and would never let Benton catch back up. Olivia Masterson scored four points in the third quarter to contribute to the win.

Boy’s game:

The Eagles secured a 58-28 win over Benton to bounce back from a overtime loss to St. Aloysius on Tuesday.

Nic Williams led things with 21 points followed by Lawson Selby who dropped 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Chris Taylor had four assists to go with his 14 points and Willie Rogers stepped up defensively to grab 15 rebounds.

PCA will travel to Franklin Academy next Thursday.
