PCA boys basketball team defeats Benton Academy 48-36 for district win

Porter’s Chapel Academy boys basketball team defeated Benton Academy Friday to earn their first district win in a 48-36 win.

Chris Taylor dominated on the court for the Eagles, finishing the game with an impressive 36 points.

Teammates Tyler Washington and Willie Rogers also put points on the board, scoring four points each. Rogers played strong defense as well, managing to grab 11 rebounds for the night.

PCA now has a 6-2 record under coach Walter Hallberg IV. The Eagles will play back at home on Thursday to face Sharkey-Issaquena Academy.
