PCA boys knocked off Manchester;Lady Eagles took a loss to Benton

Porter’s Chapel Academy boy’s basketball team picked up a 67-26 win over Manchester Academy on Saturday.

Lawson Selby knocked down two 3-pointers early in the game as well as Noah Porter who hit one. The Eagles went up 33-15 after Chase Hearn and Jase Jung came in clutch with a few points.

PCA led the game the rest of the way with Selby putting up 24 points and 11 rebounds while Hearn finished with 11 on the board. Jung and Ty Mack both scored 10 points each while Tyler Halter also scored two points.

Girl’s game:

The Lady Eagles took a 64-59 loss to Benton Academy.

Tiara Sims scored 28 points and Anjel Walton pitched in 16. Sophie Masterson put up 10 points and grabbed six rebounds while Hannah Henderson ended the night with five points and nine rebounds.

North State will begin next week where the boys will be the No.3 seed and the girls will be the No.4 seed.
