PCA came out with a 62-54 win over Humphreys

Porter’s Chapel Academy boys’ basketball team with toe-to-toe with Humphrey’s Academy in a 62-54 win.
“Our quickness prevailed for us and we got enough shots and we finally caught our composure and they came to win,” PCA Head Coach Casey Fisher said.
The Eagles went up 15-11 in the first quarter after a few shots from Ty Mack and a couple layups by Taylor LaBarre. Jase Jung and Noah Porter both knocked down 3-pointers just shortly before halftime to keep PCA up 25-22.
HA eventually took the lead once in the second half but a 3-pointer from LaBarre and quick layups from Jung, Gavin White and Chase Hearn would keep the Eagles afloat. LaBarre hit a clutch 3-pointer in the fourth quarter while Mack and Hearn contributed heavily from the free throw line. Porter and Jung also pulled off some tough shots late in the game to secure the win.
Mack led with 23 points and eight rebounds while Porter had 13 points and three assists. LaBarre had 10 points and four rebounds while Jung also had 10 points with seven rebounds. Hearn finished with four on the board and White scored two.
PCA will travel to Jackson Victors on Tuesday.
