PCA crushed Union Christian 16-0 Thursday

Porter’s Chapel Academy picked up 15 runs in the first inning to knock off Union Christian 16-0.

Zach Ashley, Gavin Pugh, Taylor LaBarre, Thomas Azlin, Gage Palmer, John Wyatt Massey and Brayden King all had hits in the first inning.

Chase Hearn pitched in the victory where he allowed zero runs and zero hits while striking out two batters.

The game was eventually called in the third inning.

LaBarre went 2 for 3 at the plate while Palmer ended the night by going 2 for 2 with three RBIs. Pugh finished with three RBIs to go with his one hit as Gavin White pitched in another two RBIs.

Azlin, King, Massey and Ashley all finished with one hit and at least one RBI.

The Eagles will travel to play Greenville Christian on Tuesday.
