Chase Hearn popped things off for PCA in the second with a hit followed by a RBI from Gavin White. Gage Palmer would be next as he brought in two runs after a single just before Taylor LaBarre sent one to the left field for another run.

Just as the Eagles got things heated up, John Wyatt Massey doubles to bring in two more runs along with Ashley who got a RBI to put the score at 7-0. PCA would eventually go up by 10 after Thomas Azlin got a double and scored from two errors with two men on base.

After three walks and RBIs from White and Selby, the game was eventually called, leaving the Eagles with a 15-0 win.

“I think we came out good and played with a lot of energy, shoved it on the mound but it all started with the energy and I think we learned from the last game we played,” Massey said.

Tonight’s win was PCA’s home opener.

“I think we came out and fixed the errors from last week and practice made a big difference for us so we came out and handled business,” Palmer said.

Ashley struck out six in the win.

“Energy was good tonight and everything was solid and the way we practiced this week definitely helped,” Zach Ashley said.

Palmer, LaBarre, Massey, Azlin, Hearn, Pugh and White all had hits in the win. Palmer, Azlin and Massey each had two RBIs.

The Eagles will travel to Sharkey-Issaquena on Thursday.
