Porter’s Chapel Academy pulled off a big win due to a great defensive performance in the second half to defeat Ben’s Ford Christian 30-20 on Friday.

BFC got on the board first from a 48-yard run from Jonah Holston.

The Eagles would soon respond when John Wyatt Massey hit Zach Ashley on a 24-yard touchdown pass to tie the score at 6-6.

Midway in the second quarter PCA would be down 20-6 after two touchdowns from BFC. Touchdown runs by Ty Mack and Massey would force the Eagles to go into halftime only down 20-18.

PCA would score in both the third and fourth quarter from runs by Mack and Jase Jung.

Defensively, the Eagles stepped up in the second half and didn’t allow another score. Matt Malone and Ashley each had a sack on the night and Jung caught the only Eagle interception. Malone led with seven tackles and Taylor LaBarre grabbed four in the win.

Massey went 10 of 14 for 107 passing yards and a touchdown while rushing for 95 yards and a score. Jung rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown and Mack also scored twice.
