PCA defeated Heritage Academy 17-1 on Saturday

Porter’s Chapel Academy softball team crushed Heritage Academy 17-1 in just two innings of play.

HA got on the board first but PCA responded as Natalie Cantin and Marley Bufkin scored on a passed ball.

RBIs hit by Emily Muirhead, Jaycee Vines, Cantin, Bufkin, Phillipson, and Sophie Masterson helped push PCA’s lead to 10-1 by the end of the first inning.

Vines popped things off in the second inning with a double which was followed by hits from Kendall Smith and Cantin. Bufkin also hit a triple in the second while Phillipson and Masterson wrapped things up with hits.

The Lady Eagles finished with 11 hits with Bufkin leading the way with three hits and four RBIs. Cantin and Vines went perfect at the plate by going 2 for 2. Vines also had three RBIs.

Smith, Masterson, Muirhead, and Ali Blackmon all had a hit.

Masterson struck out two in the win.

PCA took a 6-3 loss to Indianola Academy where Audrey Carraway, Masterson, Muirhead, Phillipson, and Cantin each had a hit.

The Lady Eagles also took a 8-1 loss to Calhoun Academy.
