PCA destroyed Benton Academy 94-43

Porter’s Chapel Academy boy’s basketball team didn’t hesitate to send Benton Academy home upset in a 94-43 win.

“We looked athletic, we looked fast, we looked quick,” Head Coach Casey Fisher said. We did what we do best which is apply pressure and push the basketball.”

The game was hard and physical in the first quarter with PCA leading 22-13, but the Eagles quickly turned things up a notch in the second quarter with Lawson Selby easily getting to the basket as PCA went up 54-22 at halftime after a shot by Rashad Simms.

Between Noah Porter, Ty Mack, Selby, and Taylor LaBarre, the Eagles had a field day in the second as they almost finished with 100 points on the night.

Porter led PCA with 33 points followed by Selby who added 24. Mack put up 17 in the win and LaBarre finished with 11 on the board.

“The girls will be really motivated about tomorrow even though we’re a little short on depth,” Fisher said.

The Lady Eagles took a 45-34 loss with Anjel Walton leading with 10 points. Sophie Masterson finished with eight points and Hannah Henderson added seven.
