PCA ends Wilkinson County Christian’s undefeated winning streak

Porter’s Chapel Academy put an end to an undefeated winning streak held by Wilkinson County Christian on Friday. The PCA Eagles were able to end the WCC’s good fortune in a 52-37 victory.
“It was a total team win,” head coach Blake Purvis said. “We came out and played with intensity for all four quarters and our offensive line led the way. I’m very proud of our team and our staff for getting a quality win against a great opponent.”
Tyler Washington rushed for 258 yards and four touchdowns with two 2-point conversions. Taylor Labarre and Jase Jung rushed for a score. Bridges Williams, Maureon Simms, Connely Johnston and John Wyatt Massey paved the way with aggressive blocking. Jace Williams went 8 of 12 with 83 yards and a touchdown pass to Willie Rogers.
Defensively, Jung, Alex Davis, Labarre, Gage Palmer, and Massey each had seven tackles, while Rogers came up with an interception.
