Porter’s Chapel Academy faced undefeated Prairie View Academy on Friday where they came up short of a victory in a 70-18 loss.

“We faced a very good well rounded football team, and they are the No. 1 team in 2A for a reason,” head coach Blake Purvis said. “We have to put this one behind us and get back to work and fix our mistakes and get the momentum rolling again.”

Although the Eagles had tough ball game, a few players had some impressive stats on the night.

Tyler Washington had 132 rushing yards off 10 carries and one touchdown, while Willie Rogers had 95 rushing yards from seven carries and a touchdown. Bridger Jung also rushed for 59 yards and Taylor Labarre also had a score while Jase Jung came up with an interception on defense.

PCA will host Prentiss Christian next Friday where they will be looking to bounce back with a win.
