Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball won their home opener on Tuesday in a 56-43 comeback victory.

“I think we played real well and I’m glad the team never quit and we just have to find our right combination,” head coach Casey Fisher said.

The Lady Eagles took a 16-12 lead in the first quarter with big shots from behind the line by Zy Smith and Tiara Sims. Sims had a dominating performance by knocking down five 3-pointers and finished with 29 points.

After a tough talk at halftime, PCA came out on fire with Smith easily taking the ball to the goal and drawing multiple fouls. She finished with 22 points as the Lady Eagles came back and took a 42-35 lead.
