PCA Junior High boys defeated Delta Street 34-27

Porter’s Chapel Academy Junior High School boy’s basketball team picked a 34-27 district tournament win over Delta Streets on Thursday.

The Eagles took a 11-7 first quarter lead after Anthony McCloud knocked down two 3-pointers.

PCA’s defense stepped up big in the second quarter and didn’t allow DS to score.  Jase Jung came in clutch with two layups and DJ Smith hit a three to put the Eagles up 18-7 going into halftime.

PCA managed to stay on top throughout the remaining of the game. They were forced to go to the free throw line on numerous occasions.

McCloud led the team with 12 points followed by Jung who added 11. Smith finished with eight points for the Eagles.

PCA will play again on Saturday.

Unfortunately for the Lady Eagles, their season came to an end Thursday night after a loss. Sophie Masterson led the team with 14 and Marley Bufkin added nine points.
