PCA players Burns and Smith made the MAIS All-District team

Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball player Yakia Burns and Zy Smith have been selected as All-District players in the MAIS District 4.

Burns recently finished her senior season under head coach Casey Fisher, where she averaged over 30 points per game. She was also selected as the Offensive Player of the Year.

Smith just wrapped up her sophomore season where she helped PCA to a 20-10 season. She was a key reason for the Lady Eagles’ success this season as she was a huge threat behind the three point line.

Both Burns and Smith made a big name for themselves this season by dominating both offensively and defensively. The young ladies displayed hard work and dedication all year and the recognition is well-earned.
