PCA takes down Jackson Academy 11-2 on senior night

A big fourth inning helped Porter’s Chapel Academy softball bring home an 11-2 win against Jackson Academy on Senior Night.

Early hits from Emily Muirhead, Ali Blackmon and Marley Bufkin helped the Lady Eagles tie the game at two.

 

Kinsley Luke, Blackmon, Bufkin, Masterson and Natalie Cantin all brought in hits in the fourth to add on nine more runs for PCA.

Blackmon(one RBI), Luke(three RBIs) and Bufkin(three RBIs) all led with two hits while Abdo, Masterson(two RBIs), Muirhead and Cantin all had one hit.

Masterson struck out five in the win.

PCA celebrated senior night for Blackmon and Olivia Dawson who are both key players this year for the Lady Eagles. Blackmon has a .356 batting average with 16 hits and Dawson has 14 hits with a .292 batting average.

PCA is officially in the playoffs as they wrapped up the regular season with an 11-15 record under Head Coach Carlos Dawson.
