PCA takes down Jackson Victors in a 16-15 high scoring win

Porter’s Chapel Academy pulled off a high-scoring 16-15 win against Jackson Victors.

The Lady Eagles gave up six runs in the second inning but responded with seven of their own after hits by Ali Blackmon, Emily Muirhead and Marley Bufkin. Audrey Carraway also hit a triple to help PCA take the lead.

Carraway, Bufkin and Olivia Dawson hit some late doubles to keep the Lady Eagles ahead in the tense game.

By the bottom of the seventh, PCA was down 15-13 when Mia Abdo got an RBI and Carraway hit a beauty tie the the game at 15 and force an extra inning.

PCA’s defense stepped up in the eighth and didn’t allow any runs while Muirhead brought home the win after hitting a nice single as Coley Potter ran to the home plate.

The Lady Eagles brought in 15 hits as Muirhead(two RBIs), Carraway(four RBIs) and Bufkin(two RBIs) all had three three on the night. Dawson had two hits and an RBI while Sophie Masterson had one hit and two RBIs. Abdo, Kendall Smith and Kinsley Smith each had an RBI in the win.

PCA is now 10-15 on the season under Head Coach Carlos Dawson and they will host Jackson Academy on Thursday.
