PCA took a 15-12 loss to Indianola Academy

Porter’s Chapel Academy took a 15-12 loss to Indianola Academy on Saturday.

The Lady Eagles gave up seven runs in the first inning including an inside-the-park home run. They would eventually respond with eleven runs of their own after a single and double by Audrey Carraway, a single by Ali Blackmon and Marley Bufkin along with a double from Olivia Dawson and a host of errors by IA as PCA led 11-7.

IA would earn eight more runs in the second inning while Kendall Smith got the lone run for PCA in the 15-12 loss.

Carraway went 2 for 2 with three RBIs while Dawson went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Tinsley Reece, Blackmon and Emily Muirhead all had one hit.

Other games:

In game one vs. Washington School, PCA took a 1-5 loss where Mia Abdo, Natalie Cantin and Emily Muirhead all had one hit. Muirhead threw four strikeouts.

In game two, the Lady Eagles fell short in a 1-9 loss to Washington School. Olivia Dawson and Sophie Masterson both had a double while Bufkin and Muirhead had singles.

PCA will host Wilkinson County Christian on Tuesday.
