Porter’s Chapel Academy football player Ricky Carraway won the Golden Helmet Award on the Eagles football team on Saturday.

The Golden Helmet Award is given to the team’s most valuable player and Carraway was a natural selection for the award.

Carraway was a tremendous player for PCA this season; he finished as one of the Eagles best defensive players by racking up 52 tackles this season. He racked up an impressive eight tackles against Centreville earlier in the season, which marked one of his best performances.

Carraway proved throughout the season what a dedicated athlete he was by continuing to be a great leader on the field as he was well-coached by Blake Purvis.

He also ran track, played basketball and baseball for PCA and was a huge contributor in each sport.
