Peggy Jo McCaskill Perkins, 1933 – 2020

Peggy Jo McCaskill Perkins died Saturday, June 6, 2020, at her residence. She was 87.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she attended school in Keene, Texas, and married her husband, James, in 1952.

After the birth of her second daughter 61 years ago, she suffered a stroke that left her with left side weakness. However, she never let that interfere with living life to the fullest.

She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2013.

Survivors include her daughters Dr. Jo (Mike) Deal and Cindy (Brian) Maier; her grandchildren, Bryce (LT Rob) Buttrill, Lexie Maier, Lauren Deal and Ryan Deal; and her faithful companion dachshund, Lucy.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020, in the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with Eruke OhwoFasa officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the service.
