Peggy Lee Findley Brasfield, 1933 – 2023

Peggy Lee Findley Brasfield, a longtime resident of Vicksburg, MS passed away at her home in Slidell, LA on January 21, 2023. She was born in Vicksburg to Riley H. Findley and Audrey Lee Findley in August 1933. She was the middle child of eleven children. Peggy was an employee of the Merchants National Bank and lifetime member of Hawkins Methodist Church, where she served as Church Treasurer. She was an avid City League bowler and loved family beach vacations.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Brasfield, Sr., one daughter, Marion Gail, her parents, and seven siblings. She is survived by daughter, Linda K. Randall (Neil), sons, Buster Brasfield (Julie), and Randy Brasfield (Wyndi), two sisters, Barbara and Janice, one brother, Robert, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, February 11, 2023, with visitation at 11:00 A.M. at Hawkins United Methodist Church, 3736 Halls Ferry Rd, Vicksburg, MS. A luncheon will be presented for the family, courtesy of Hawkins UMC. Interment will be next to her husband at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to Hawkins United Methodist Church.
