Phillip Lamar Wheeler, 2004 – 2023

Phillip Lamar Wheeler was born on September 30, 2004, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Patricia Miller and Willie Wheeler, Jr., both of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Phillip attended Warren Central High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball.

He was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend who was loved and will truly be missed.

Phillip was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Edna Miller of Port Gibson, MS, and paternal grandparents, Willie and Corine Wheeler, Sr.

Phillip leaves to cherish his precious memories: parents, Patricia Miller and Willie Wheeler, Jr. (Shannel); four sisters, LaQuita Miller, LaToya Miller, Whitney Wheeler, and Samantha Anderson; one brother, Willie Wheeler III; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Phillip had Special mentors in his life, they were Coach Ernest Galloway, Lisa and Glen Palmer, and the late Coach Eric Chiplin.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Phillip Lamar Wheeler on March 11, 2023, 11:00 AM at Greater Mt. Zion M. B. Church, 907 Farmer St, Vicksburg, MS .

Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS on March 10, 2023 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM with family present from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.

Phillip Lamar Wheeler transitioned on February 28, 2023 at the age of 18.
