Pick him up: Butler still at the top of his game at 31

Vicksburg native Malcolm Butler is still at the top of his game at the age of 31 and continues to wait and see if an NFL team will sign him for another playing opportunity.
Butler first became a widely known player in the NFL when he picked off a pass in Super Bowl XLIX, which led to the Patriots defeating the Seahawks in 2015.
Since then, Butler has become one of the best cornerbacks in the league. He helped New England to two Super Bowl wins before heading on to play for the Tennessee Titans in 2018. In his four years with the Patriots, he had a total of eight interceptions and 48 pass deflections. Butler continued his performance as he made his way back to the South while playing for Tennessee.
Butler suffered an injury during the 2019-2020 season but would eventually come back stronger this past year.
Butler led the Titans to a 11-5 season this year as he racked up an impressive 100 tackles to go along with his four interceptions.
Now that Butler has finished his seventh NFL season, he has a total of 406 tackles, 82 pass deflections, and 17 interceptions.
The titans released Butler on March 10, 2021. Butler is now waiting to see which team is going to take advantage of signing him on.
