Player Spotlight: Qualls shines on the field for the Gators last week

Vicksburg High School football player Roy Qualls Jr. had a career night for the Gators last week as he helped his team secure the victory against South Pike.

Qualls racked up 11 tackles including four tackles for loss in the big 23-22 win Thursday for the Gators.

Qualls was a key player and a big reason why VHS was able to shut down South Pike’s offense in the second half to bring home the Gators first win of the season. He has stepped up a lot this season as the Gators continue to improve each week under head coach Todd McDaniel.

Qualls is expected to have a good game this coming Friday as he will help lead the team on the field against Neshoba Central.
