Player Spotlight: Smith scored 24 points for PCA on Friday

Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball player Zy Smith led the Lady Eagles in points in their 46-41 win over Greenville St. Joe on Friday.

Smith scored 24 points in the game leading the young team to victory. She also hit three huge three-pointers in the game that came in clutch for her team.

As PCA trailed 21-22 at halftime, Smith came out and hit the long shot that gave the Eagles the lead in the game.

Smith is a transfer from Port Gibson High and has been helping to lead the Eagles to greatness under head coach Casey Fisher.

The Lady Eagles will be back on the court on Tuesday at home against Benton Academy.
