Vicksburg High School basketball player Jaden Williams has been selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game.

Williams is currently a senior at VHS where has led the Gators to a 9-5 record this season.

Standing at 6’8” Williams is known for his ability to snatch rebounds from defenders and make big plays that often turn into victories for the Gators. He most recently scored eight points on Saturday as he led VHS to a 75-30 win over Warren Central.

One of Williams’s best games this year was in a 61-54 win over Brandon where he showed his great defensive skills. He finished that game with 17 rebounds to go along with seven points he put on the scoreboard.

Williams has been playing under VHS head coach Kelvin Carter for the last few years, and they both have helped the team achieve high goals.

The Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game will be held on March 12 at Dunn Olive Acadome in Montgomery, Alabama at 7:30 p.m.
