Police are investigating a woman’s body found behind Natchez apartment building on Sunday

The Natchez Police Department is investigating a body found behind an apartment building on June 5.

On Sunday, just after 8 a.m., Natchez police discovered the body of Doretha Fitzgerald, 63, behind an apartment building on Saint Catherine Street.

Police Chief Joseph Daughtry stated it is unclear at this time if foul play was involved.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
