Police investigating incident on Winters Lane

At 8:16 a.m. police were alerted to an incident on Winters Lane on North Washington.

The caller reported the area was covered in blood and feared the worst. When the Vicksburg Daily News arrived, what looked like blood was visible in the driveway of the residence on Winters Lane. FireMedic 40 was working on a person related to the incident and it is believed that their injuries are not life threatening.

Police Lieutenant Curtis Judge explained, “We just don’t know at this point. We are going to investigate and see if this incident is related to another incident reported in this area yesterday.”

FD2, Trey Martin, was also on the scene along with Battalion 1, Henry Williams, numerous VPD units, Lt. Judge and Investigator Orlon Smith.
