Police officer arrested on child pornography charges in Southaven

A Southaven police officer was arrested by officers with the Hernando Police Department on Friday. Harold “Tad” Rogers was charged with enticement of a child to produce sexually explicit pictures, according to Darkhorse Press.

Undercover conversations alleges Rogers had sexually explicit conversations with an officer who was posing as a 13-year-old girl and was solicited for sexually explicit photos.

Rogers had his initial court appearance on Monday. A statement from the Southaven Police Department says that Rogers is currently suspended.  Chief Macon Moore plans to bring the issue before the city board Tuesday.
