Police report four burglaries in Vicksburg from April 7 to April 9

The Vicksburg Police Department has reported the following burglaries took place between Tuesday, April 7, and Thursday, April 9, 2020.

On Tuesday at 8:21 a.m., officers responded to an address on Maxwell Drive in reference to a commercial burglary. The victim reported an unknown person entered a storage unit and stole three antique doors, an antique chest-of-drawers and a stainless-steel washing machine.

On Wednesday at 4:17 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Dot Street in reference to a residential burglary. The victim stated someone broke into the unoccupied residence and stole a 110 air conditioner.

On Thursday at 2:16 p.m., officers responded to the Carr Central Apartments, 1805 Cherry St., in reference to an auto burglary. The victim stated that someone entered his 2011 Toyota Camry and stole his Taurus .40 caliber handgun from the vehicle.

On Thursday at 6:20 p.m., a resident came to the Police Department to report a residential burglary in the 3600 block of North Washington Street. The victim said that between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, a handgun was stolen from the residence. The victim stated the suspect had contacted him, saying he was going to sell the gun if unless he was given money to return it.
