Police seeking pregnant woman missing since Thursday

Police are looking for information on a missing Holmes County woman who is nine months pregnant.

Makayla Winston, 21, was last seen Thursday in Goodman, Miss., when she left home to visit the father of her unborn baby, WJTV reports. Her baby is due July 4.

On Friday, police found her car abandoned with the keys in the ignition but the radio missing. Her cellphone was found nearby. It had been erased, and police are working to recover information from it.

“I just want them to know, let my baby go,” Winston’s mother, Yvetty Brown, told WJTV. “Let her come home and enjoy her first child because we love her … and we’re going to take care of the baby no matter what. So I just want my baby to come home.”
