Porter’s Chapel Academy baseball team defeated Adams Count Christian yesterday in a close 4-3 battle.

Despite ACC taking the lead in the second inning, PCA made a quick response in the fourth inning and held the lead for the rest of the ball game, especially when John Michael Wilkerson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring a run.

Spencer Azlin for the Eagles struck out seven batters and surrendered three runs. Michael Todd Andrews also stepped up and pitched one inning for the PCA where he recorded the last three outs and helped the Eagles claim the victory.

The win yesterday marks two victories in a row for Porter’s Chapel. They will face St. Aloysius on March 5 at 6 p.m.
