Power of the Worker event happening on June 11

On June 11, the Restaurant Opportunities Center United will be partnering with MS Back Women’s Roundtable, Jackson Association of Educators, Jobs to Move America, One Voice, and the MS Workers Center for Human Rights to present the Power of the Worker.

“Power of the Worker is an event that is looking to bring workers from all labor sectors together to fight for better wages and treatment in the workplace,” organizer TJ Mayfield said. “We want school bus drivers, school cafeteria workers, restaurant workers, custodians, and other manual laborers to come join this event.”

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Jackson Medical Mall.
