Prentiss County Deputy Rescues Goat From Middle Of Highway

Published

on

A Prentiss County deputy could now be called the “goat wrangler” after he heroically rescued a goat from traffic.
Deputy Doug Rakestraw noticed a goat in traffic on Highway 45.
He also serves as the chaplain for the police department.
Deputy Rakestraw jumped out of his car and grabbed the goat with his bare hands, rescuing it from the road and oncoming traffic.
The police department posted a “punny” line on their Facebook page about the incident saying,
“Deputy Rakestraw has always been one to tackle any task that comes his way and always just grabs it by horns to get the job done.”
