Quadre Butler has been named as the new Vicksburg High School boy’s soccer Head Coach.

Butler, a Cleveland, Mississippi native, recently graduated from Alcorn State University with a master’s degree in sports administration and is ready to get to work with his new team.

“It’s really an honor to be here because they could’ve chosen anyone but I’m looking forward to it and I’m ready to give it my all,” Butler said.

Butler is new to the game of soccer but has always been an athlete in football and tennis for East Side High School, before playing football on the collegiate level for Mississippi Delta CC and ASU.

At Eastside High, Butler led the Wildcats to a 14-1 season as a junior while rushing for 1,906 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also rushed for another 1,603 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior with the Wildcats finishing with a 10-4 record.

Quadre Butler replaces Jon Graham who led the Gators last year but was recently named as the assistant principal at St. Aloysius High School.

Besides leading the Gators’ soccer team, Butler will also assist the baseball team with strength & conditioning.

VHS will start its upcoming soccer season in October.
