Three facing kidnapping related charges in Rankin County
Three are now behind bars and facing kidnapping charges in Rankin County.
Around 10 a.m. on Sunday, a man walked into the Flowood Police Department claiming to have been kidnapped. According to a report by WLBT, the man stated he was tied up and held at gunpoint before being released.
According to the report, the man claimed he was heading to meet a female in the Reservoir area but found himself assaulted, tied up, then held at gunpoint when he arrived at the residence. After about three hours, the victim stated he was untied and allowed to leave.
Cortez Devion Adams, 23, and Laken Paige Lowery, 22, turned themselves in on Sunday. Tina Michelle Lowery, Laken’s mother, was later arrested. Adams and Laken Lower each face charges of kidnapping and assault. Tina Lowery has been charged with accessory to kidnapping.
All three suspects will appear before Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow.
