Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Gayle Stanfield, age 86, of Tallulah, Louisiana, will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Crothers – Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Rev. Jason Lupo officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with service to immediately follow.

Mr. Stanfield died early Saturday morning on March 18, 2023, at Legacy Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Tallulah, Louisiana. He was born in West Carroll Parish, March 5, 1937, to Charlie and Mildred Stanfield. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Raymond. He loved outdoor living, being with his family and friends, and passing down his love for horses to his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frankie “Dinkie” Stanfield, one sister, Joyslyn Sandifer of Minden, Louisiana; nephews, Chad Ezell, Albert Charles Sandifer, Tyrel Jacobs, and Jerry Lee Stanfield; nieces, Paula Lary, Tracey Tyler, April Folse, Pamela Tuttle, Rachel Stanfield, Debra Culpepper, and Melanie Lewis; sisters-in-law, Francis Ezell, Virginia Rachel, Betty Snider and husband Paul. Raymond is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mildred Stanfield, his brothers: Jerry C. Stanfield, Don M. Stanfield, and Paul A. Stanfield; and one nephew Charles Stanfield; and great-nephew: Hunter Lee Smith.

Pallbearers will be Chad Ezell, Cole Ezell, Geoff Lary, Charles Sandifer, Wade Graham, David Dennis, Tyrel Jacobs, and Greg Travis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bubba Jones, Billy Sullivan, Ricky Morris, David Adams, William Hilburn, Christian Buia, Rusty Peterson, and David Yerger.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Crossroads Hospice, Dr. Albritton, and Legacy Nursing Home & Rehab staff for the outstanding care provided. The love and support that you gave to our Unk could never be expressed in words. He touched the life of so many during his stay at Legacy and our hearts are full knowing that he was so loved. You will all hold a special place in our hearts.
